Summer Fayre a huge success
Residents, friends, family and for the first time members of the public enjoyed a real party atmosphere at Pentlow Nursing Home Summer Fayre
held on 23rd July.
Eastbourne Mayor and long time friend of Pentlow Nursing Home, Carolyn Heaps, kindly re-arranged her busy schedule to ensure she could be present to declare the event open, which was the cue for Sussex by the Sea played by the Wealden Brass Band who supplied the music.
At the residents specific request the “In the mood 1940 dancers" once again gave an energetic show ending with everyone joining in singing the ever popular hits from that time.
One visitor there for the first time said "What a fantastic afternoon, superb cakes, great atmosphere, I didn’t know a nursing home could have such fun”.
All the money raised will go to the activities organised for the Residents, one of whom said "Brilliant again, I look forward to it every year".

To me it was quite evident that regardless of the role, whether it might be nursing, caring, catering, office, housekeeping, maintenance or grounds, (my apologies for those I may not have included), everyone was totally committed and dedicated to caring not only for the residents but the relatives as well.
